Beware the scammers
Many of us will recognise the attached text messages
These kind of messages are on the increase. And have nothing at all to do with your telecoms provider. The messages will link you to a website that looks just like that of your mobile provider, and will encourage you to pay your ‘outstanding bill’ by entering your card details, bank details, ask you to set up a new password and enter your address for security.
PLEASE DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
Sadly yesterday one of our clients did just this - and has now been recommended by her bank to change her bank account, and even change her mobile number to prevent being harassed by the scammers in future. The inconvenience is bad enough - but imagine knowing that these people know your passwords, and have everything they need for full on identity fraud.
Your network will NEVER ever contact you by text in this way. Please don’t fall victim to this kind of fraud. And please, share this message with your friends, family and colleagues.
